Do you know the difference between blue folders and yellow folders? What do you do if you're about to meet with clients and want only their images to show in Aperture? In this podcast interview with Joe Schorr, Derrick Story discovers advanced organizing tips for Aperture power users.

One of the best tips from the podcast covers how to manage which projects appear in the project pane at any given time. Joe suggests using the Favorites command.

Select a project, then choose Add to Favorites from the gear menu.

Then choose Show Favorites from the Projects popup menu. All other items in the project pane will be hidden from view.

When you're ready to have your entire Aperture library available again, go back to the popup menu and choose Show All.

  has anybody written a good article on the best way to organise pictures in Aperture. ie how to colate images eg by date or by subject. Is there a way to do both successfully. Any examples
